One of the best known and appreciated restaurants on the island, this Pé na Água is right on the beach, which can be accessed directly from the restaurant's esplanade. A fantastic esplanade, right on the sand, the dining room is very spacious, with a beaten wooden ceiling and grey colours with some green support beams, in a beautiful effect. Simple tables and straw chairs in the room, with esplanade chairs outside, but all very careful and comfortable. The menu is varied, divided by fish and meat, or simply appetisers. Some salads, shrimp cocktails, clams and grilled limpets. The fish can be grilled fish of the day, a mix grilled fish, oven-baked fish, tuna steak, scabbard fish fillet with banana and passion fruit sauce, cod and octopus à la lagareiro. But for two, they also prepare seafood rice, seafood spaghetti and seafood bean stew, fish and prawn rice, fish and prawn pasta and octopus rice. The fish stew has to be ordered the day before. Regarding the meats, there is grilled pork chop, veal chop, the traditional Madeiran skewer, house-style steak and steak with pepper. The wine list includes some Madeiran wines. The sea is just a stone's throw away...
