The arrival of the decorative lights in the streets of the city centre of Funchal, during the month of December, sets the beginning of the Madeira Christmas and End of the Year Festivities programme, taking place between December 1st, 2022 to January 8th, 2023.
April,24th to 30th
This event, to be held between April, 24th to 30th, aims to present the countless ways to cook tuna in the several countries invited, an initiative which shall culminate in a gala dinner in which the Madeiran table wines and Wines will be displayed.
May,20th and 21st
The Athletics Association of the Autonomous Region of Madeira hosts between the 20th and 21st May, the Porto Santo Nature Trail, a sports competion held in Porto Santo island.Read more

- 23-11-2022 The Autonomous Region of Madeira was recently awarded the bronze certification by EarthCheck, an entity accredited by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council and responsible for certifying the Region, for the completion of the 1st phase - Benchmarking, in the Certification of the Autonomous Region of Madeira as a Sustainable Tourism Destination, placing itself in a privileged situation towards obtaining it.
